Mindful Monday - May 3rd

Good morning and happy May Bank Holiday!

May... errr, really? Yep, we seem to have somehow made our way towards the middle of the year. Cool. Well done indeed.

“Those who dance are considered insane by those who can't hear the music.”
- George Carlin

Yep, there's likely to be dancing in the streets sometime soon...

In spite of this pandemic being far from over, there does seem to be more and more to be excited about and even grateful for. Many of us will be tempted to rush back into old habits and routines that we've missed, some of which serve us well and others a little less so. If, for example, if you're about to launch back into a training schedule of some kind, it would be wise to sketch out a plan to allow yourself to ease into it appropriately.

Slow and steady has served us relatively well thus far – consider holding this course. You've got time, there really is no rush.

And breathe...

Getting back on track
In this 4-minute video Tim Ferriss shares his top tips for getting back on track when you've lost your momentum, or slipped up with habits, diet etc. We could all do with a little reminder from time to time...

Staying on track by doing all the tracks
I'm not really sure what to say about this other than thank you Drew for sharing... Basically a guy in Scotland walked every street in Edinburgh during lockdown. Every street. Sure, Edinburgh isn't the biggest city in the world, but it still has a lot of streets and a lot of hills. Check out his map here. Bravo, sir!

Healthy art
Like art? Check. Like being healthy? Defo. Elena Brebenel combined the two and created Home Pharmacy, a wall hanging piece of artwork infused with lavender and peppermint in the hope of improving our awareness of air quality in homes. It looks pretty special, too.

Still Corners
Music tip of the week is Still Corners and their track Black Lagoon, which inspired me to revisit Bronski Beat – little throwback there for you. Totally into their synth retro vibes, reminds me of summers from the past.

That's it for another MM, thank you for reading and letting us drop into your inbox.

Big love,
Luke X
