Meet the chiropractors and massage therapists who care for our Wandsworth Bridge community — spinal adjustments and hands-on therapy under one roof.
At Chiro London we keep our offering simple.
Chiropractic techniques can help improve a variety of issues and boost your overall health and wellbeing. We see a wide range of clients — from hard-working work-from-homers to overworked manual labourers; stressed-out mums to unsettled babies; and sporty kids to the more mature looking to stay active. Age is irrelevant for chiropractic!
It's true that many of our clients come to see us for back pain, and adjustments manipulate and align the spine, we've had great results in this area. Or if long hours behind a laptop are impacting your posture, we have specialised techniques and exercises to help you sit straighter.
Those who are active can also benefit. Whether you're training for a marathon, clocking up miles on the bike, or practising yoga regularly, our specialised chiropractic skills can help improve your spinal flexibility, decrease pain, speed up healing of an injury, and improve your overall performance.
If you are pregnant, there is no better time to see a chiropractor. Chiropractic care for the expectant mum can promote optimal baby positioning, increase pelvic stability and hopefully encourage a speedy labour.
Sports massage is not limited to elite athletes. Anyone who partakes in sport or has a manual job can benefit. This deeper-tissue massage is generally associated with the prevention and treatment of strains, sprains and injury.
Soft-tissue massage employs a variety of techniques to mobilise the soft tissues of the body — muscle, ligaments, tendons, fascia and the connective tissue around joints. The technique your therapist uses depends on how they wish to affect the tissue.
We can treat generalised aches and pains alongside your chiropractic care: general, acute and chronic back pain (not from accident or injury); uncomplicated mechanical neck pain (not from accident, e.g. whiplash); circulatory problems; sciatica; muscle problems; fibromyalgia; rheumatic pain; and minor sports injuries and tensions.
Deep tissue therapy is similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure helps release chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints).
While some strokes feel similar to Swedish massage, deep tissue is used to dissipate scar tissue and physically break down muscle "knots" or adhesions — bands of painful, rigid tissue that can disrupt circulation and cause pain, a limited range of motion, and inflammation. Some light bruising is a possible side effect.
Swedish massage is a gentle form of massage aimed at relaxing the whole body. The therapist combines kneading, rolling, vibration, percussive and tapping movements across the neck, back, arms and legs to release muscle tension. The longer, softer strokes and lighter pressure are what set it apart — and make it deeply relaxing.
